Re: Premier League medical emergency - hal - 12-16-2023

"Lockyer collapsed during the play-off final win against Coventry in May before being taken to hospital.

He subsequently had heart surgery and was given the all-clear to return to playing in June."

that's crazy - the Dr that gave the all clear should be investigated

June ? Well… those lads are in terrifyingly good shape… running flat out all game. An elite athlete will most certainly recover very quickly

I hope he's been wise with his money. Captain of a team in the biggest soccer league in the world - he's been getting paid well by normal people standards but not US sports standards. $1.3 million this year but thats a big jump from previous years.

Oh, having a cardiac event in a place like that might be one of the safer situations for it to happen.

You might as well go ahead and pronounce the L in "salmon." Nothing matters anymore.

LLOL!

It minds me of people how pronounce the L in solder.

I'm familiar with the etymology of both, so no aspersions cast.

More of a niche observation, I guess.
