[deleted and moved to where it belongs] - wurm - 04-04-2024 Never mind. Apologies to those who wasted keystrokes (but I do appreciate the thoughts). Re: tea questions from a coffee drinker - sekker - 04-04-2024 Maybe skip the GQP-branded Tea? Re: tea questions from a coffee drinker - NewtonMP2100 - 04-04-2024 .....tea....bagging.....??? .....will usually put hot water from one of those machines and put tea bag and then cover it for a few minutes......it should be ok.......you don't need 'boiling' water.....the tea will still steep in 'hot' water.... Re: tea questions from a coffee drinker - Tiangou - 04-04-2024 I know this from experience. Making tea with a Keurig is efficient, but it makes it "flat" and the flavor suffers. Best way is with water brought just to the verge of a boil in a steel kettle. But... You have herbal "tea." It's not real tea. So how you prep it doesn't matter. It will always be a let-down. My unsolicited advice: Send someone out to fetch you "Lemon Lift" from the coffee/tea aisle in your supermarket. It's soothing for a sore throat, the vapors are pleasant to inhale, and it's got actual tea in it. Re: tea questions from a coffee drinker - Rolando - 04-04-2024 Try a variety. I bought my wife a variety pack at a local Chicago style Slavic store. Black teas have caffeine, so avoid at night. I prefer cinnamon or orange-spice teas. If you're not medicating, let it cool to 140F* and add a shot of honey-whiskey or Fireball. The alcohol vapors will go right up your nose. I like to take a sip and then inhale with my mouth. *Another great use for my knockoff Instapen meat thermometer!
