How do I make a del.icio.us style page from a folder of links? - enrico7300 - 02-25-2007

I have a huge folder of links I would like to share (.url files) on a web page, but it's tedious to copy and paste all the URLs into a text editor. Is there a utility that does this sort of thing?

Thanks and I hope this wasn't an obvious one.

Would it work to select all and then drag and drop.

works, one at a time, from textedit - enrico7300 - 02-25-2007

using textedit, moving a group only causes the first link to be added. dragging a folder will result in the path to the folder being displayed.

Perhaps I should switch to a wysiwyg editor?

Here's a "smarter than me" scripted solution involving the Terminal...yechh:

Webnotehappy is a bookmarks manager, which exports XBEL files (which del.icio.us can read!) I had a folder of links from my work computer that has been doingn nothing on my hard drive for about a year now...time to clean the 'puter!!!

Safari>Bookmarks>Show all bookmarks then drag and drop will add them to the list
