Biden & Trump agree to muted mikes, no audience at next debate. - steve... - 06-15-2024

In Atlanta on June 27th. A coin flip will determine the podium choice. Not sure if tRump will be wandering around the stage, stalking Biden.

Excerpts from CNN:

The 90-minute debate will include two commercial breaks, according to the network, and campaign staff may not interact with their candidate during that time.

Both candidates agreed to appear at a uniform podium, and their podium positions will be determined by a coin flip.

Microphones will be muted throughout the debate except for the candidate whose turn it is to speak. While no props or pre-written notes will be allowed on the stage, candidates will be given a pen, a pad of paper and a bottle of water.

I hope they each have their own bathrooms to use during the two commercial breaks.

It seems to me muted mics won’t stop Trump from talking and thus distracting Biden. But the TV viewers won’t hear Trump, they’ll just see a distracted doddering Biden not holding his thoughts together.

If Trump babble is enough to distract Biden during the height of a debate, people ought to know.

Let's see if he does do it. He still has an "out" if Biden won't take a drug test, which Trump claimed was a deal breaker.

I don't think he will do it - he will find a reason

I agree. This debate will never happen. The orange ahole will find a way to not participate.

"I just learned that the Supreme Court might make it legal for Biden to have me executed".
