My idiot governor's educational steps backwards - PeterB - 06-19-2024
He signed into law, bills today that do the following:
1) Require the Ten Commandments to be posted in school
2) Establish the "GATOR" fund, which passes public money to private schools
3) Forbid discussion of gender identity between teachers and students
4) Disallow the use of personal pronouns that conflict with a student's "God given" gender

He close but still not at the DeSantis level. I don't see any of the other 49 governors taking the Desantis stupidity crown. Possibly if NC elects Mark Robinson, but otherwise the others are also-rans.

Note I said "jack@ass", not "stupidity". I agree that DeSantis corners the market on the latter.
