Electrolytes - special - 06-26-2024

can you recommend something powder that does not have any artificial sweeteners and ideally low or no sugar? Thanks

not powder, but CostCo coconut water is organic, unsweetened and my morning drink, especially in the heat.
$20 I think.

I like Nuun tablets, specifically their Sport variety.

Re: Electrolytes - special - 06-26-2024

ordered some Nuun, thanks. Wife does not like coconut water, but I can do that, maybe I'll pick up a case next time I shop at Costco.

Thanks folks

Food. Unless you are training for a marathon you don’t need added electrolytes. Or if you work outside in a southern state that has made it illegal to have mandatory breaks.

for recovery, NOTHING beats chocolate milk. Really.

I used to get so burned out backpacking. I would get SO DEHYDRATED that I'd put food in my mouth and start chewing, but no saliva would generate. I'd try all kinds of electrolyte cures and they mostly helped, but when things are at their worst, nothing really works.

I read an article that milk was shown to be the best recovery tool because of it's food content. So I tried some chocolate milk (I can't palate reg milk and the extra sugar also helps in recovery) - the next time I went out and I couldn't believe how well I recovered. It's a staple now.
