I'm packing up for another camping trip. I'm not much of a drinker, but I might like to have a shot or two while I'm out. Gave up on beer - I just am not interested in it out there. I enjoyed some mixed vodka camping with friends recently, but I'm frankly a little afraid of enjoying too much and then having it become a daily part of life. Don't want that.
anyway - looking for a decent cheap flask that can be delivered by saturday.
what should I be avoiding?

I would consider heading to REI and checking out their selection of small BPA free or nalgene containers, some of which are very flask like. I've used a couple of different metal flasks while skiing and at music festivals and they have a metallic taste.

I wouldn't carry that skiing but for general camping and packing it looks cool.

We got a couple of the 1oz plastic bottles of booze at a liquor store. After we drank those I kept the bottles and I refill them to take various places. I rinse and let them dry out between uses. I find them easier to deal with than my flask.

I'm not convinced that the little 1 oz plastic bottles would contribute to the ambiance that a cool flask of a mysterious liquid would offer after a great day of hiking in nature.
