nice copper 1961 Chrysler 300G refurb - Fritz - 10-15-2024 1961 Chrysler 300G Hardtop I dig the fins starting on the doors. Almost as long as a RR Ghost at 220". Need a Class A CDL to be able to turn a corner. Top speed ~130mph. 4300lbs at the curb. 0-60 in 8.4s. Stopping distance - concrete block wall. Fuel efficient at 10-11.5 mpg. Gas was ~.31/gal. Truly a make America grunt again. ![]() Re: nice copper 1961 Chrysler 300G refurb - robfilms - 10-15-2024 i saw this on my morning BAT email. stunning! i really dig those Chrysler 300s. thumbs up. rob Re: nice copper 1961 Chrysler 300G refurb - Fritz - 10-15-2024 yea, very nice of the era Re: nice copper 1961 Chrysler 300G refurb - lost in space - 10-15-2024 I've never been a fan of Mopars of that era, but the Chrysler 300 is an exception. 2 fours on a crossram manifold! What a grand land yacht! Re: nice copper 1961 Chrysler 300G refurb - mrbigstuff - 10-15-2024 Not love with that car but I'd like to lick that paint. Re: nice copper 1961 Chrysler 300G refurb - SteveG - 10-15-2024 one of the silliest looking cars ever created Re: nice copper 1961 Chrysler 300G refurb - Fritz - 10-15-2024 ![]() Re: nice copper 1961 Chrysler 300G refurb - Buzz - 10-15-2024 My dad had a very similar 1959 Pontiac Catalina in that same color. Couldn't find a decent pic in copper, so BAT had a nice red one..... ![]() ![]() ![]() Use your imagination, or maybe hold up a shiny penny (or vintage Revere Ware pot/pan bottom) to recreate the lustrous copper vision. ![]() Dad bought it in San Antonio, TX, and pretty much 3/4 counterclockwise circumnavigated the perimeter of the lower 48 on his way back to SF. ![]() == Re: nice copper 1961 Chrysler 300G refurb - Fritz - 10-16-2024 it's nearly as big as the island that was named after it (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) Re: nice copper 1961 Chrysler 300G refurb - Forrest - 10-16-2024 Nice color - almost matches the color of the Chrysler Turbine car https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Turbine_Car |
