The commission had convened to address ongoing complaints surrounding election processes, including issues with ink overspray and the ballot duplication process. Commissioners requested that a federal evaluation be conducted into this year’s election to address these concerns. This comes as Shasta County voting skeptics are still expressing concerns about the voting process, accusing the Shasta County Clerk and Registrar of Voters of committing fraud by certifying the election results.
However, Shasta County Clerk and Registrar of Voters Tom Toller was disappointed that his department was being called into question. He said the votes have been accurately counted and processed despite the ink overspray and duplication ballot process that took place in late October.
Tensions flared toward the end of the meeting when commission member Brad Garbutt once again questioned the role and need for the very commission he is a part of. The crowd became vocal, telling Garbutt to leave and get out of the chambers. This caused Garbutt to quit on the spot, as he announced his resignation.
“They have done nothing,” Garbutt said during his departure. “There have been recommendations made, but they never make it to the board of supervisors, mostly because the recommendations they make are unconstitutional, illegal and unenforceable.”
Garbutt said the election commission, created by Supervisor Patrick Jones, has already used about $50,000 in their first year. During the last meeting, Garbutt proposed a performance review for the work of the commission, however, was turned down.
Election observers are consistently present at the meetings and expressed lingering dissatisfaction with the observing process, claiming insufficient space to adequately monitor ballots during the voting process. Several observers went further, alleging that elections are being manipulated by what they described as the “Deep State” in California and across the nation.
The events in Shasta County reflect the ongoing challenges Shasta County is faced with regarding election skepticism and begs the question of the effectiveness of the Shasta County Elections Commission.

btw, the results were certified by the five person committee, but three did so 'under duress' (which is not a thing)

Keep a few of these challenges going in several places scattered across the country to maintain "election fraud" in the public subconscious, ready to be awakened when needed.

no, no, no... you are misunderstanding the situation here - these are true believers. They are doing this because they believe there is really fraud - they ain't playing a long game.
