1963 AC Greyhound Full Restoration Slideshow - Thrift Store Scott - 01-15-2025 I started to DM this directly to Fritz, but decided to share it with the forum at large in case anyone else might be interested- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pY4sZ_NfHo4 I'd never heard of an AC Greyhound before, not surprising since only 81 were ever built. They're 2+2 coupes built on a lengthened and somewhat improved AC Ace/Cobra chassis, and in design and execution appear to be something of a more "budget-friendly" but just as British alternative to an Aston Martin DB5. Re: 1963 AC Greyhound Full Restoration Slideshow - Forrest - 01-15-2025 Related to the AC Ace https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC_Ace Which Carroll Shelby transformed into the famous AC Cobra Re: 1963 AC Greyhound Full Restoration Slideshow - Ombligo - 01-15-2025 Masterful restoration work although I'm not a fan of the new color Re: 1963 AC Greyhound Full Restoration Slideshow - chopper - 01-15-2025 We did a 1953 Morris Minor once. If you have a shop and a lift none of this is difficult. I see they pop-riveted the new tin in the floor and elsewhere. Good luck. Re: 1963 AC Greyhound Full Restoration Slideshow - robfilms - 01-15-2025 fantastic vid. thanks for the posting. thumbs up. rob Re: 1963 AC Greyhound Full Restoration Slideshow - Wags - 01-15-2025 I thought this was gonna be about a bus Re: 1963 AC Greyhound Full Restoration Slideshow - lost in space - 01-15-2025 That was sweet. I have tremendous respect for restorers who do that level of work, especially hand-forming body panels. Re: 1963 AC Greyhound Full Restoration Slideshow - Fritz - 01-15-2025 saaaaaaaweeeet! thanks! They went back with red for the interior, so perhaps the car was originally silver and was changed to red post-purchase by a previous owner? If it was mine, I'd have gone with medium metallic blue (the shade often seen on Shelby Cobras, or perhaps an ever-so-slightly darker version) with a black interior.
