Mac,
On the surface, it looks like a decent deal but in actuality is nothing spectacular. You can get faster external SSDs from various competitors for less, a similar price or just a bit more. Here are a couple of examples:
you can also find models that are similar in speed for less money, too. Note, I wouldn't recommend any Sandisk or Western Digital SSDs at this time.

Both of those are external though.
Didn't Crucial have some issues with Macs years ago? I seem to remember that there was an issue. Maybe it's been fixed.

Is there a thickness measurement? I have a laptop that could use an upgrade but only handles 7mm.

Mac,
Ignore my original post. The link in yours originally came up with an Orico external SSD for $249. Not sure why it's showing the correct drive now. Very odd.
Still, the Orico is competitively priced. There are 2.5" models from many competitors that are in the same price range. There are NVME models that are just a small amount more and offer a huge increase in performance.
All things considered relatively equal, I'd get the NVME stick and drop it in a box before I'd go with a 2.5" model and drop it in the box. Will be a bit more money but the improvement in performance is tangible and worth the extra bucks.
