The fires in California are going to add to inflation in this state first, but you can rest assured that will soon start spreading across the country as small increases in your homeowners or renters insurance, too.
Soon enough, that list will also include increases to electricity prices, natural gas prices, etc. Drill baby Drill doesn't mean that prices of utilities are going down - just who's going to pay for all that "drilling"?
… more lies from Trumpo and his ilk. MAGAts are going to pop a few veins - but in their small minds, it'll still be all Biden's fault .
Get another job. Here in California, even with the increases to minimum wages, the way this goes is that those wages will maybe support about as much as they did 25 years ago.

The inflation numbers came out and they are up, of course.
Trump immediately blamed Biden for the increase, which is non-sensical, but his MAGAts will take it as truth.
That excuse is not going to work for very long though.

Inflation is mostly about/from the last administration and will be for a while, be it up or down. However some of the inflation is anticipatory like for mortgages based on the ten year treasuries which went up immediately after the election because traders are expecting massive deficits due to Republican tax cuts for the rich. But the MAGAts will blame Biden for the next four years for every failure by Trump.

Especially funny since Trump attributed the great economic news of 2024 to the prospect of him returning to the WH.
