My company is supposed to layoff 50% of the staff tomorrow.

Have no idea what type of job you do. If possible, download everything you may need for your future job search from the computer/laptop/network/email onto a thumb drive. Tech Support will most likely lock you out of everything while you are in "the meeting". You will come back to a locked (virtual) desktop without access to anything.
