Social Security and Medicare.

Are being eviscerated by people who were not elected. Don’t care about reelections. Know full well that democracy is being killed. And never rode a subway in their oligarch lives.

American media has to stop saying “oh they would never…”.

They are.

I almost think we’d be better off with two countries: US Blue and US Red. See which country has better Medicare, Medicaid, SS, employment, better infrastructure, better education, more freedom.

And yet… many of them founded centers of art and learning that live on. The current oligarchs have no sense of “noblesse oblige”.
