Actually, I have to wonder why would they do this to him? This is all probably some kind of theater by him, Putin and Xi.

This guy doesn't understand that he's destroying his credibility forever. I think he thinks he can jump off the Trump boat and get things back to normal. Normal is over. It would be like Harvey Weinstein showing up to work going about developing the next movie.
