Frustrating experience looking at car specs online - special - 04-21-2025 https://www.ford.com/suvs-crossovers/escape/specs/ What is the damn battery range? Re: Frustrating experience looking at car specs online - JoeH - 04-21-2025 On this page - https://www.ford.com/suvs-crossovers/escape/performance/ - click on Explore Performance. "All-Electric Range is 37 Miles" Re: Frustrating experience looking at car specs online - chopper - 04-21-2025 37 miles. Re: Frustrating experience looking at car specs online - TLB - 04-21-2025 IIRC, I think the Rav4 PHEV quotes 39 miles for its all electric range, in comparison. Re: Frustrating experience looking at car specs online - hal - 04-21-2025 I still can't fig out why my Hyundia Tuscon has a 2000lb tow capacity, but in EU and AU, it's 2000kg Re: Frustrating experience looking at car specs online - special - 04-21-2025 JoeH wrote: Thanks... but shouldn't that be listed under SPECS? NASA crashed a space probe since one team was using metric and another team was using imperial units. I bet the same happened here. Update: the reason towing capacities are so much higher in Europe is because they have a much more restricted speed limit for any vehicle towing a trailer. For instance, in Germany the maximum for vehicles towing is 80 kmh (50 mph) on highways and a maximum of 100 kmh (62 mph) on freeways. That’s because in Europe it is permissible and common to only have 3% of the trailer’s weight on the tongue. Having that little on the tongue makes a trailer more susceptible to fishtailing at higher speeds. This explains why the towing weight amounts are higher, since so much less of the trailer’s weight is on the hitch. Also, in Europe there are stricter laws regarding mandatory trailer brakes. In CA, it seems like it's a 55mph limit for towing, but maybe it's higher in other parts of the country? But there are other differences also mentioned i the article. Re: Frustrating experience looking at car specs online - C(-)ris - 04-21-2025 Trying to find anything about cars specs or options online is incredibly frustrating. You think that is bad, try looking for a specific set of options on a used car. The other difference is in Europe they enforce the law and take away licenses, not write tickets. |
