I find the private messaging very confusing. I don't see a sent folder. 

Am I missing something?

Also, someone had sent me a reply, but the text never showed.

If you have a totally new account, not using your old UN, you will have a sent folder
If you used your old UN, you will not.

I know that sounds crazy, but I have both kind of accounts and that’s how it is.
I even tried adding a “sent” folder but it still won’t put the sent items in it.
It’s weird

I really don't want to use a new account if I don't have to.

Is there a way to search all mail when needed?

Yes, if you click on the "inbox" then put a word or phrase in the "enter keywords" in the box at the top and then hit "search PMs" it will bring up PMs with the search criteria, even though they may not show in the inbox. You can also do an advanced search to narrow down the responses.

new account left, old account right. Something is messed up with folders for old accounts.

I don't even see that breakdown. Does it only show if if you have something in the inbox?

Initially my folders looked like your screenshot, but I tried to add folders to the old user account (Right) make it look like the new user account (Left) and even if I match the folder names, the description (which is assigned automatically by the MyBB software) and the icons (Trashcan) do not match.

I don't think there is a solution, my plan is to give up on the old use account (special) and start a new one (TBD)

I wonder if this might be a known problem with conversion to MyBB that other MyBB sites may have encountered. A quick search turned up this discussion, not that I understand much of what's said.

Hope there's some fix, although it's not too bad an issue for me. I looked at "tracking" and that helps to some degree. And there's also search . . .
