Ecobee thermostat drives me crazy - special - 07-04-2025

I loved the ecobee at the old house. Just loved it, never had any complains about it. i recommended it to many friends.

This house: I installed the Ecobee about a year ago. I am so confused about how it works.

Just now, the thermostat is set to 82F, temperature inside is 79-80 and the AC is running. Why?

here is the actual graphs of temperature and humidity.

P.S. and often I see it complainint about no weather data, like it cannot get a WiFi signal. My Wifi works fine for all devices in the house, I have an Amplify (Uniquity) mesh system with dual band (5 and 2.4 GHz). No other device complains about WiFi.

Both Ecobee thermostats (zone 1 and zone 2) have weird glitches like this.

I think I found the issue. Today is (was) Friday but since I was off work, I thought it was the weekend and didn’t expect a change in set point around that time. I think the thermostat was preparing for the next period.

Anyway, I am still suspicious about this model. Sometimes it’s slow to respond to changes from the App.
