Who's using Quark 7? - Shakes - 04-06-2007

First off, I hate Quark. I do 90% of my work now in InDesign but I have 2 clients that still require it. Does anyone here actually use version 7? Should I upgrade?

I might be using it daily in the very near future.

I would use it if I could afford it.
I'm using ID a lot because I got an educational package a while ago, and my work will be using it when we switch over to OSX there. Id's okay but either it doesn't have some features that I am used to in Quark ( like clicking on an image and having the option to go to publisher) or I haven't figured out where they are. I keep meaning to read the manual someday.

I use Quark 7. I've used Quark for 15 years now. I use ID on all new projects.

I think Quark 7 may handle tranperancies and shadows better than Quark 6.

There's probably nor really compelling reason to upgrade.

In ID, Control Click on the image then select "Edit Original".

Thanks, threeprong!

I use both ID and QP7. I prefer ID (looking forward to IDCS3), but am faster in Quark because I've used it since version 1 and they've actually changed it very little (kinda like Appleworks!) over the years.

Having Quark around is a GOOD THING. Keeps Adobe on their toes.

Or option-click the image and it opens right up. Your way is easier for one-armed people though.

I like them both.
