keychain damaged - roshi - 04-07-2007
I rebooted my Mac, and now the keychain is acting like it is damaged. I got error messages when logging into iChat, Mail, and also Entourage.
Just now I tried Keychain First Aid, and it said,
Verification terminated unexpectedly
Repair terminated unexpectedly
what do do?

none of the repair steps worked. I have several recent backups (earlier today and a couple of days ago) so i just copied over the system and user keychains and dropped them in, and THEN did keychain repair, and it found problems, fixed them, and now all seems to be well. Whew!

never had this happen before. Very strange feeling, for everything to be asking for a password or complaining that it could not find access.
So Mail and Entourage and iChat now work. I wonder if I should replace the System keychains also.
