Warning (YMMV) - Adobe InDesign CS2 4.0.5 update hosed my PDF export capability - Zoidberg - 04-17-2007
Set-up: MacBook Pro 2.33 Core2Duo; Mac OS 10.4.9; 2.0 GB RAM
After running the 4.0.5 update earlier today for InDesign CS2 I could not export a document for the life of me; app kept crashing during export, and sometimes during other operations (like page change and such). After futzing with it for a while, I launched IDCS2 from my backup drive and the export worked fine. I replaced the app (dragged the 4.0.4 CS2 folder from the backup drive and replaced the newer folder in my HD's Apps folder) and all is well again.
FWIW, I have the latest v of Adobe Acrobat Professional.

Are you using the presets?

That used to happen to me with PageMaker and Distiller. The only way I managed to restore it was a complete reinstall.
