You should be able to knock down the pre-approved offers by contacting the credit bureaus. But I wouldn't post my SSN on the Web, regardless.

For the record: this is a really interesting post. I didn't try that hard to find what the offer is with the company, but I wish I'd thunk of it first. Good ploy publishing his SSN.
