OT: The Beauty of Corporeal Existance - Carnos Jax - 04-26-2007

Wow...well what can I say...

We (in Little Rock) just had another line of thunderstorms pass through. But the beauty in it's wake is something to take in. The air is a slightly wonderful kinda cool, with just the right amount of humidity. The frogs are singing their love songs. The band of storm clouds are lit now from their back side (looking East) by twilight. And what a sight they are, with their varied structure stretching to incredible heights (a sure sign of a powerful storm), culminating at the top with a wispy texture. All this against an incredibly clear atmosphere (evident despite the declining light) with a complexion somewhere between deep purple and blue. The Moon and some stars/planets are rehearsing for the nights performance. The beauty of a corporeal existence.

Gotta go back and catch the final moments...(^_^)

CJ,

I was just looking out the front door at the surreal beauty of a sunset occurring just under the storm clouds. Out the back door (facing east) I can't see much more than the dark clouds but the light that's hitting (or was, too dark now) gave them a dream-like appearance.

The Natural State, indeed.

Are you waxing/drinking Poetic??? Smileo

I hope we can get some of that rain here in Atlanta, to clean our golden brown smog filled skies.

Seriously, I love the smell after a good rainstorm.

It truly is beautiful. The air smells clean. The air feels cool and moist but not chilly or damp. The honeysuckle is blooming everywhere and it's scent lingers in my memory. I spied my first Magnolia bloom. Ah! Little Rock in the Spring!

Yeah Zoid & Willy, I was thinking of hollering at y'all and Dennis via the forum, but didn't figure it'd be in time. It's amazing how fleeting these perfect conditions are. You'd think it take forever for the Earth to rotate, but at moments like this, you can almost see it.

LOL deco. After I wrote that, I thought I should've signed it as the "ramblings of a hillbilly". I even thought some of y'all might be hollering for me to pass the doobie over. No such luck girls and boys. If anything is intoxicating me, it's the fact that I'm hella tired after having gone to bed around 4 this morning only to wake up at 6:30 for work (consequence of my eBay all night bender).

There's a new lake in our little town...it's in my backyard.

Non-stop rain for 2 days. Everything is completely saturated.

We need sunshine!!!
