Shift Happens - Globalization and The Information Age - incognegro - 05-21-2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljbI-363A2Q (Views: 695,940) Runs around 6 minutes, more of a PowerPoint presentation set to music than a movie. Worth watching, some of the statistics will probably surprise you. I searched & didn't see this posted. And though not specifically political, it carries enough information about other countries that some will undoubtedly engage in debate that is political in nature. What a time we live in! But the argument that America is falling behind in anything is usually met by a knee-jerk accusation that this is all just a bunch of "America-hating", and "Love it or leave it (but don't try to change it)" As long as the politicians keep the sheep fat & complacent, there will be no change. As one American recently stated, "I am completely satisfied as long as I have my Diet Pepsi and fast food fix." As one American recently stated, "I am completely satisfied as long as I have my Diet Pepsi and fast food fix." Well not entirely, he did question the wisdom of consuming a week old dollar Macburger. He ate it anyway but he did stop to question. Is that cause for hope?
