CS3: "A new version of the Adobe Updater is Available [BUT]... - jimbrady - 06-21-2007 ...for installation. Click OK to install it now. Note: You may be required to authenticate in order to install." Does this mean I'd have to authenticate again? I don't like these murky "notes" when I have an install of CS3 that seems to work... what if there's a problem with authentication? Re: CS3: "A new version of the Adobe Updater is Available [BUT]... - ka jowct - 06-21-2007 Adobe Updater is one of the reasons Adobe jumped the shark (long ago), IMO. They are all about geting their users to shell out every 18 months now. I know they have to make money, but I can't say I have a lot of respect for them anymore. There probably will not ever be really great upgrades again: just calculated mixes of a few appealing features and lack of backward compatibility to push people into shelling out on schedule. |
