iweb question - davemchine - 07-26-2007

I maintain three websites using iweb. I may need to spin one of them off and allow another person to maintain it. My question is, how do I separate out that website in iweb? Everything is in one big file.

user account/library/application support/iweb. The file "domain" is the file that contains all your websites in iWeb.

First, duplicate this file so you can restore iWeb. Then launch iWeb and delete the other two websites and quit. This will update the domain file to just the one website. Send that domain file to the new person and then delete it from your iweb application support folder. Instruct them where it goes. (If they already have websites in their iWeb, they're going to have to shuffle domain files.) Go back and change the name of your "domain copy" to "domain", effectively restoring iWeb to the three sites.
