Do women care or position themselves in photos based on their chest? - AAA - 08-16-2007 As I pore over hundreds of photos submitted to me, I got to wondering how to crop all of them. Then I wondered if any women would care that I cropped their breasts IN or OUT of the photo. Having never thought about that as a man, do women ever look at these candid shots/photos and critique how it makes their breasts look? I mean, it's an odd thing. I guess men (a lot of men, at least) might wonder how big their belly looks or perhaps their biceps. -Should I crop below the breasts or above? -Do women care or like front-on shots above side shots, since side shots show their size? -If a woman's bra strap is showing, does it matter? -If the woman's bra is visible based on the angle of the shot (her sitting down, camera higher/above); perhaps because of a v-neck, or unbuttoned top, does it matter? Again, these will be displayed in a slideshow/movie in front of a couple of thousand folks. Am I OVERTHINKING this stuff? Re: Do women care or position themselves in photos based on their chest? - rgG - 08-16-2007 Do whatever is most flattering to the subject, would be my only suggestion. I think all people would want to look as good as possible and each situation will be different. Re: Do women care or position themselves in photos based on their chest? - MacMission - 08-16-2007 I don't know if you're overthinking it, but you've got me thinking more about this issue. This week I had a candid photo of three attractive women standing side by side, staggered overlooking the beach. Three different bust sizes were amplified in this photo and I got to thinking whether I should use this photo in the slide show I was preparing. I actually struggled with the decision because I didn't want to embarrass any of the women, particularly the smaller size woman. It was such a beautiful, scenic photo, one of the best in the bunch. I decided to use the photo because I came to the conclusion that I was "just overthinking". Or was I? Re: Do women care or position themselves in photos based on their chest? - mrthuse - 08-16-2007 Why not ask a woman friend? My guess is that she'd probably agree w/ rgG. Re: Do women care or position themselves in photos based on their chest? - AAA - 08-16-2007 Sounds like the exact same thing I was thinking. And I never thought I ever would care. But I'm trying to be aware of others' feelings. Unfortunately I can't place myself in the female psyche. I agree with rgG, what ever is the most flattering to the subject. Oh, and the bra strap showing is considered unflattering. Hence the "most" not "all" Unless you're a woman with breasts it's really hard to relate. Re: Do women care or position themselves in photos based on their chest? - Jimmypoo - 08-16-2007 I'll just take the bare chest shots. |
