Team 48057 is not even two months old and generating a solid 4500+ points a day(actually held over 5K the last couple days). It is also a team for the people. It is the official MacResource Forum team as well.
As for it being a team for the people - we are adding more people every day. While 38910 is ranked nice - it's a relatively small number of people with a lot of CPUs combined up. We'd love to have all those CPUs, but more excited about the involvement of the many individuals joining.
Team MacResource is and will continue to be promoted by OWC. When people see Team MacResource and click on the link, it takes them to the MacResource forums - which no other team does.
The folding is for a good cause and it's a bonus to also have the team potentially raise awareness of this forum.
All of that said - it's pretty darn exciting to see the difference each new user makes + actually be part of a team with upward potential. Kinda of a get on the ground floor type opportunity.
And this is only the beginning.
But - all said - no matter what - folding is for a good cause an even if you fold for no team at all, fold for the good of it.

I don't get the power trip with the 'official' team (who is in control of the admin console)...but most of us 'people' joined up on the 'old' team for the involvement - really had nothing to do with the other site - it was because of the people involved that asked and promoted the team.
It would of just been nice to have all of these new people join the old team...the name had been changed - perhaps even broker a deal if you (OWC) really wanted to have admin controls to the team page.
Now you have many people splitting time/CPUs with both teams. Obviously, all for a great cause, in the larger scheme of things, but for impactual concerns...38910 is there and can do more.
It's great the team has moved up so fast, in so short of time...but look at the teams that are being passed (very idle). The 'new' team will hit a wall - and a hard one at that, eventually.

Even more impressive, to me, in the short amount of time.
Time to get crankin' on more CPUs. ; )

Ok, I can agree with this. As I said, I just started over the weekend. Is it possible to combine the stats of the two teams? Merge our stock so to say?
