Dell beats Apple to the "webcam in a stand-alone monitor" punch - Zoidberg - 09-26-2007 Dell's SP2008WFP flat panel sports a webcam Has someone else done this? I can't remember. Still, everyone was figuring on Apple's ACD refresh to sport internal iSights, and here they are. Sort of. The SGI's that came with Vid Cameras were opened in Shipping & Receiving and had the cameras removed and locked away. No more Dell monitors for them. That's if they only sell models with cameras! For the most part, these cameras are relatively stationery...sans face tracking. Many places already have a messaging system in place (MS Communicator...even Polycom for video...though cost-prohibitive for individuals setups)...and this will easily allow companies to add video to such systems that are text/audio only.
