Help me - what simple thing did I mess up? - Mr Curious - 10-01-2007 What did I do? When I click on the Finder on the dock (blue / white face) I get a new Finder window with no Sidebar. I have the Sidebar enabled in the Preferences. But when I double click on the Icon for the start up HD I get the regular Finder WITH Sidebar. How do I keep this turned on? Thanks for a solution. Re: Help me - what simple thing did I mess up? - MacArtist - 10-01-2007 Try this when you click on the finder icon on the dock and that window pops up. Look on the left side of your finder window and see if the gray area is wider than the right side. If so, click and drag on the left side and see if you can't reveal the sidebar. Re: Help me - what simple thing did I mess up? - kahuna1342 - 10-01-2007 After you open a window with the Finder icon on the dock, click the little oblong chicklet in the top right corner of the window. It should go back to a normal sidebar view. Re: Help me - what simple thing did I mess up? - MacArtist - 10-01-2007 Kahuna, I never even thought of that...probably because I have never had to use it. Learn something every day. |
