Keep or return? - Greg the dogsitter - 10-24-2007

Hi, all!

Re: Keep or return? - Spiff - 10-24-2007

know nothing about the passport.

Return the My Book. Could not get mine to work at all. But then, mine was a FW drive, not just USB. YMMV.

Oh, and smile more.

I passed on that same deal for the Passport at Staples, but I was tempted.

Edit: actually I think it may have been $45 at my Staples. I might have gone for it at $40.

Wow - that is cheap - crappy drives IMHO... but PC people seem to have good luck with them on Windows... EBAY. Smile

Who's got them for $40? I could use a small drive...

Re: Keep or return? - Buzz - 10-24-2007

...shoulda bought more 80GB $27 RYF FireLites.

Re: Keep or return? - jdc - 10-24-2007

i bought a seagate 320 gig USB 2 for $79 at staples not long ago -- 5 year warranty -- it wasnt for me, so i didnt really care about the USB 2, but 5 year warranty was nice

i guess $40 for a 2.5" drive is OK? 2.5" USB cases are free, or like $5, so i guess it depends on how much an 80 gig 2.5 drive costs
