This is a much better value than the 75-300mm that Canon offers. Faster and quieter autofocus and sturdier construction. Also has a focus distance scale. Very useful for those shooting little league baseball, soccer etc.

That does look like a good value for the money. I'd gladly sell my original 75-300 4.0-5.6 IS USM and put the funds toward the perennial favorite: http://www.adorama.com/CA702004AFUR.html
