too many these days don't remember that altering a histogram was originally done in the darkroom with water bath extended development, and altering agitation techniques.

Nope. Just B&W development here - processing negatives, enlarger, wash & rinse...

Yup, but then after some paying jobs I discovered JOBO...and hired a darkroom assistant. Cibachrome was the worst, though. Many dead brain cells.

its "wash, rinse & repeat". no wonder you hair has no lustre.

More than I care to remember

Also did a fair amount sans hangers (aka in the tray)

Also did color E4 & E6 in the tubes (Unicolor set up) and had to temper the chemistry in a
water bath with fine tuning with hot and hold before it went in the tube.

I used to do about 4 to 6 runs of E6 a week - usually 8-10 rolls at a time.

My department finally bought a Wing-Lynch when we reached the point of doing double runs a day.

That was one great processor.

No but I did get drunk developing film once. Does that count?

That's all I ever did too. Some manual dodging / burning too.

35 mm B&W negative film development and 6" B&W positive on photo paper. but I am NOT a "professional photographer". just an amateur.

Why do you limit the question to professional photographers?

I used to develop my own film back in the day.

Yes, plenty of 4x5 and 8x10 sheets and I've got the yellow fingertips to prove it.
