poll: how many of you professional photographers ever processed dip and dunk sheet film? - Racer X - 11-28-2007 too many these days don't remember that altering a histogram was originally done in the darkroom with water bath extended development, and altering agitation techniques. Re: poll: how many of you professional photographers ever processed dip and dunk sheet film? - M A V I C - 11-28-2007 Nope. Just B&W development here - processing negatives, enlarger, wash & rinse... Re: poll: how many of you professional photographers ever processed dip and dunk sheet film? - papercup - 11-28-2007 Yup, but then after some paying jobs I discovered JOBO...and hired a darkroom assistant. Cibachrome was the worst, though. Many dead brain cells. Re: poll: how many of you professional photographers ever processed dip and dunk sheet film? - Racer X - 11-28-2007 its "wash, rinse & repeat". no wonder you hair has no lustre. Re: poll: how many of you professional photographers ever processed dip and dunk sheet film? - lafinfil - 11-28-2007 More than I care to remember Also did a fair amount sans hangers (aka in the tray) Also did color E4 & E6 in the tubes (Unicolor set up) and had to temper the chemistry in a water bath with fine tuning with hot and hold before it went in the tube. I used to do about 4 to 6 runs of E6 a week - usually 8-10 rolls at a time. My department finally bought a Wing-Lynch when we reached the point of doing double runs a day. That was one great processor. Re: poll: how many of you professional photographers ever processed dip and dunk sheet film? - pRON aHOLIC - 11-29-2007 No but I did get drunk developing film once. Does that count? Re: poll: how many of you professional photographers ever processed dip and dunk sheet film? - mikebw - 11-29-2007 [quote M A V I C]Nope. Just B&W development here - processing negatives, enlarger, wash & rinse... That's all I ever did too. Some manual dodging / burning too. Re: poll: how many of you professional photographers ever processed dip and dunk sheet film? - space-time - 11-29-2007 35 mm B&W negative film development and 6" B&W positive on photo paper. but I am NOT a "professional photographer". just an amateur. Re: poll: how many of you professional photographers ever processed dip and dunk sheet film? - MacMagus - 11-29-2007 Why do you limit the question to professional photographers? I used to develop my own film back in the day. Re: poll: how many of you professional photographers ever processed dip and dunk sheet film? - mstudio - 11-29-2007 Yes, plenty of 4x5 and 8x10 sheets and I've got the yellow fingertips to prove it. |
