'Knight Rider' Adds Three to Cast Bruce Davison set to play KITT's inventor The cast of NBC's "Knight Rider" update continues to grow, with Emmy and Oscar nominee headlining the latest additions to the movie/back-door pilot. Davison will play Charles Graiman, the creator of the next-generation supercar Kitt. He'll be joined in the cast by Wayne Kasserman ("The Kill Point") and Greg Ellis ("Beowulf"), according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie, scheduled for later in the season, centers on Mike Tracer (Justin Bruening) a race-car driver and the son of of the 1980s show's lead character, Michael Knight (David Hasselhoff is in talks to reprise the role in a cameo). His childhood sweetheart (Deanna Russo) and her father (Davison) recruit him to join the private, justice-seeking Knight Foundation. Kasserman will play a mechanic who also joins the team, while Ellis will be one of the bad guys trying to use KITT for their own ends. Internet reports say the new KITT will be a Ford Shelby Mustang. Davison earned an Oscar nod for the 1990 film "Longtime Companion" and a guest-acting Emmy nomination in 1998 for an appearance on "Touched by an Angel." His recent credits also include the first two "X-Men" films, CBS' "Close to Home" and guest spots on "Lost" and "Battlestar Galactica." Kasserman played Tonray in Spike TV's "The Kill Point" earlier this year. British actor Ellis appeared in "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" and has extensive voice-over credits, ranging from "The Boondocks" to "The Batman."
