Put together Family website, easy app, technique - Microman - 11-30-2007 Years ago, I put up a web site, for a small investors club. It worked, and I learned a little. I now need to put up a site, that will show information for a family cabin, and its rental dates. With other information avalable to its users. I assume I would again just upload it to my ISP, and have all logon, for current info. Any suggestions on what to use Thanks Re: Put together Family website, easy app, technique - Paul F. - 11-30-2007 Sounds like exactly the kind of project that iWeb was made for! It's not real flexible, but it's a "complete package" of web page templates and building tool. Re: Put together Family website, easy app, technique - richorlin - 11-30-2007 For something that simple, I would use iWeb. You already have it and there is relatively no learning curve. If you have a .Mac account you don't even need webhosting otherwise you can publish to a folder and FTP it to your ISP'a free space. Another option is the space that your ISP provides as part of your package, but I think iWeb would be the easiest. Third option would be Google's Blogger. All you are creating is a static site so it wouldn't take much work. Re: Put together Family website, easy app, technique - Zoidberg - 11-30-2007 Another vote for iWeb; I do a lot of sites in it, everything from family sites to a few "for their use only" business sites for clients (like access to resumes, project sheets, etc.). Quick, easy, clean. Here's my own biz site; http://www.core53.com |
