Stupid stock traders - h linamen - 12-11-2007
What's with the stock market? We get another quarter percent drop in the prime rate to help boost the economy, so what does the DOW do?.... drops nearly 300 points today. Makes no sense. Yeah, Yeah I know they wanted a half-percent decrease.

It's not traders per se, most trading is down automatically via computer programs.
Besides if your lucky, your 401k, IRA, etc.. is buying today.

Maybe because a drop in rates guarantees a sinking dollar; a quarter-point doesn't reassure the vast majority of investors who are idiots and think that the fed should have cut it by a whole point just to bolster the slow housing market; and analysts reported this week that inflation is expected to have gone up considerably this quarter and is likely to go up as much or more in the next quarter.
