iPhone USB weirdness - PeterB - 12-30-2007 OK, here's a weird one... I just discovered that on my home machine (Quicksilver 1Ghz dual), I can't import photos from the iPhone via USB2 -- at least not by iPhoto ... it sees the pics, but stalls at the beginning of the import. USB1.1, on the other hand, works fine. (My USB2 is via a Sonnet Trio card.) Conversely, USB1.1 doesn't work for syncing -- gives timeout errors, only USB2 works for that. I'm guessing this is something with the Trio card, but am not sure... I think you're right--I see similar strangeness here with an IOGear USB 2 card. Re: iPhone USB weirdness - wickedsteve - 12-31-2007 Any other devices on the USB card? Another USB perif may be the problem. Re: iPhone USB weirdness - PeterB - 12-31-2007 wickedsteve, actually no... at least, not on the USB card. Lots of USB stuff on the 1.1 chain, though. |
