By 2007 the Rolling Stones were well past their best.

So the rolling stone site wants people to install their proprietary spyware, I mean software to listen to samples of the songs?

No offense, but i subscribe to RS (free from a credit card) and every now and then they have some good stories but man it ain't what it used to be. They give wayyyyy too much coverage to inane, pointless shiat perpetrated by the PR team of a certain slutty American female singer issue_after_issue_after_issue. And to any time that Bob Dylan or Bruce Springsteen walk out their front doors. I am a huge Springsteen fan, but they will go what seems like 4-6 straight issues with stories and tidbits on him; sometimes it's something new, others it's just repackaged bs (the bovine kind).

Lack of other quality material or in bed with his record company? I dunno. Definitely in bed with Real. Whatevah.

I agree with that, SteveO. I keep subscribing because it's so cheap, they practically give it away. I'm sick of scowling rappers on the cover! The "fashion" features are the worst.

The long article on the "War on Drugs" in the current issue is pretty good, though.
