Why did Mark Warner suddenly mysteriously decide not to run? - Dennis S - 01-04-2008

He was ready to go and had a campaign staff all ready and then he bowed out. Did the Clintons pay him off with a VP promise? Will he be a viable mate for Obama?

A quick google and wiki check shows....

Mark Robert Warner (born December 15, 1954) is an American businessman and politician from the U.S. Commonwealth of Virginia and a member of the Democratic Party. Warner is the immediate former governor of Virginia and the honorary chairman of the Forward Together PAC. He is a candidate for the United States Senate in 2008[1]
In 2006, he was widely expected to pursue the Democratic nomination in the 2008 U.S. presidential elections; however, he announced in October 2006 that he would not run, citing a desire not to disrupt his family life. Prior to announcing his candidacy for the Senate, he had been considered to be a potential vice presidential pick due to his image as a centrist and popularity in Virginia, an emerging battleground state with 13 electoral votes.

He should run. Think he has a chance.

The last Dem Minty really considered voting for was Strom Thurmond, but then he turned Republican.

I would probably vote for Lieberman in most situations. He is a fine man and has my respect and is independent of party bloc voting. Remember I do not take my marching orders from the RNC but the Great Right Wing Conspiracy which uses it as one of its nefarious tools.

>and is independent of party bloc voting

With the notable exception of the republican party.
