Printing Problem - AlphaDog - 02-19-2006 I have a Canon iP6000D that is insisting all jobs are stopped, and I can't get it to resume printing. The options to Resume, Delete, Hold, etc. are all grayed out. Any ideas? I'm thinking of dumping the pref and .plist for it out my my user library, but I haven't done that yet. Opinions? How frustrating. ![]() Re: Printing Problem - Gutenberg - 02-19-2006 Good idea to dump the pref and .plist. The same thing has happened to me a couple of times with our HP laser printer, and I just ended up making a new desktop printer. Re: Printing Problem - Ken Sp. - 02-19-2006 Maybe repair permissions and try deleting and then adding printer---if not--try what you posted Re: Printing Problem - AlphaDog - 02-19-2006 Well, dumping the prefs and .plist didn't work. Off I go to try something else. Re: Printing Problem - AlphaDog - 02-19-2006 It's "fixed", but I'm not sure why. I moved to a different computer, and the printer worked properly from it. When I came back and ordered a print from this one, it worked fine, too. Ah, the mysteries of computers. Re: Printing Problem - Refurbvirgin - 02-19-2006 Was the printer switched on when you booted? I've had luck with such problems by rebooting with the printer on and connected, or sometimes just turning off the printer and turning it on again. Sometimes I've had to reinstall the printer drivers. Rebooting from your OS install disc and repairing the hard drive might help, too. Re: Printing Problem - AlphaDog - 02-19-2006 It's haunted; that's the only logical conclusion. ![]() Re: Printing Problem - rgG - 02-19-2006 I have a wiggy Canon, too. Sometimes I have to turn it off and unplug it to clear its mind. Just turning off and restarting won't fix it, but the unplugging for about a minute does. It also has issues with wireless printing. It used to work fine, but now it doesn't. I haven't taken the time to research and fix that one. I just gave up and now plug in to print. HTH. |
