Don't need a law. People are doing it themselves.

I've boosted my mileage by 10% just by dropping from 68-70mph to 65-67mph.

Why does it need to be a law? Can't people decide what's best for themselves without the Goverment making choices for them? If the speed limit is 70 and you want to go 55 go for it.

I will support a national 55 MPH limit after owning a SUV has been outlawed.

Sometimes you need regulation. If there were no regulation, you'd have morons doing 100+ in the rain and others doing 40 in the left lane (just like it is now, only more so!). I'm all for liberty, but if you can't get anywhere, what's the point.
