It's a way to start a conversation without actually stating an opinion on the topic. Conversationally sneaky, IMHO. My opinion on the finding ? It's about time it got clarified. The "rights" of non-citizens are always tough to consider, but SCOTUS took the high road in this case. Unlike the UK, which just extended the time limit for habeas corpus to 42 days. (I love the raucous nature of the House of Commons- it made for great NPR audio this morning). The consitution is not a new world order for the whole world. It wasn't then and it shouldn't be now. Guantanamo shouldn't exist. At least not with a U.S. flag flying solely over it. Sorry billb, can you spell it out for me? It sounds like you're saying that these captives should not be judged by the standards of the consitution, and that they should.
