Question regarding Tracfone - MacArtist - 08-07-2008 I have the worst luck. Seems like a month after I purchased more air time + one year's service and the phone is dying on me. I put in a new battery and it will not hold a charge. Is there a way I can take my airtime/service from this phone and apply it to a new tracfone? Re: Question regarding Tracfone - kj4btkljv - 08-07-2008 I'm pretty sure they have a "transfer to a new phone" option on their website. ---------- OK, just logged in to my online account, and there's an option under the "Activate Phone" area called: Activate my TracFone with a number transferred from one of my other TracFones. You might have to buy a new phone first, then do the transfer from one phone to the other. Jeff Re: Question regarding Tracfone - MacArtist - 08-07-2008 Thanks Jeff! I was on the website a little bit ago and I was hoping they had something like an FAQ for that but didn't see anything. Thanks! Re: Question regarding Tracfone - rgG - 08-07-2008 I have done this a couple of times. Buy the new phone first and then you can tell them that you want to transfer the old number and minutes to the new phone. I have only done it over the phone, but they may have it so you can do it online now, but you can do it. Re: Question regarding Tracfone - srf1957 - 08-08-2008 I just read your forum dont usualy pst to anything. But with tracfone switch your minutes before your old phone goes dead. They will tell you they cant verify your minutes. Airtime due will be carried over. Lost 70 and 400 minutes due screen falure and loosing one phone hiking at 7000 ft. |
