Reed made the rounds of a few talk talk shows (perhaps because Burt wasn't presentable) and seemed like a nice guy.
Sorry to hear about his passing.
Time is getting close for some of us as well.

Jackie Gleason made the original Smokey and the Bandit one of my all-time favorites.
*I still get a chuckle from some of the one-liners in that movie.
