Anyone read the Chrome comic - blooz - 09-03-2008 I quit on p. 30 where it said the "gears team" is out to make things easier for developers (I'm on dialup after all) Seems mostly geared to PC so far, if a site crashes you can still use other tabs, it will stop malware and phishing (or at least render them less harmful) it's more secufre, you can hide where you've been etc. Makes your coffee for you in the AM. It'll be interesting to see what they do to improve on Safari and Firefox (granted Safari and Firefox 3 can use some improvement). http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/ Re: Anyone read the Chrome comic - M A V I C - 09-03-2008 I read to page 2 then saw how many other pages there were. Google Gears isn't geared towards Windows: it's a set of tools for developing web-based applications. Re: Anyone read the Chrome comic - Monster - 09-03-2008 I'm suing Google, that was so my idea. Re: Anyone read the Chrome comic - IronMac - 09-03-2008 I almost finished it...then accidentally closed the tab. Re: Anyone read the Chrome comic - ztirffritz - 09-03-2008 I finished it. There is a twist in the ending. You should finish it. It turns out that Chrome is the lovechild of Firefox and Safari. There a raging party at the Googleplex and Safari got drunk and went crazy. He woke up in bed with Firefox and java. He should've had a V8, but instead he had a Tab. |
