Why doesn't anyone find this interesting?
"described as a lawyer in the biography of his father distributed yesterday by the Obama campaign, lobbied for clients that paid his firm at least $380,000 in the first six months of this year, federal records show.
Both Obama and Republican presidential rival John McCain have said lobbyists may not work on their campaigns. McCain recently called lobbyists ``birds of prey,'' and Obama has refused to accept their contributions. In his speech yesterday in Springfield, Illinois, Obama said he's running in part to repair ``a government that has fallen prey to special interests.''

and geo bush's father and grand-father had years worth of cozy relation's with the oil industry and each went to war in iraq and the price of oil skyrocketed producing record profits for their oii company friends.
dick cheney was the president of halliburton, the very company that received the single largest no-bid contract during bush's iraq fiasco. guess what? halliburton had record profits.
john mccain earliest supporters in the senate was charles keating whose lincoln savings and loan had record earnings. it was later found out that mccain (and others) were involved in improperly supporting keating. though mccain was not indicted he was criticized by the senate ethics committee for having "poor judgement" (their words not mine)

Are you making the argument that everyone does it, so it must be OK for Biden? What do you think of what decocritter posted as it relates to Biden/Obama?

rG- I think the key argument here is that political cronyism and financial connections that carefully skirt the definition of 'illegal' are so wildly pervasive in both political parties that it's an issue best left un-addressed.
Or, quite simply, the pot is carefully not calling the kettle black.
Ask yourself WHY anyone would spend millions of dollars for a job that pays a few measly hundred thousand a year ? I may willingly accept the 'youthful enthusiasm' response for Senator Obama and Governor Palin, but everyone else on the tickets has been there, done that, and has been tainted by our "political system". Those politicians who refuse to pay the Beltway Money Lottery never make it past their first term.
