Here's a weird one- Marriott mattress toppers. Anyone have one? - dmann - 09-25-2008

On my 5 cities in 5 days midwest tour last week, I ended up at 3 Marriott properties. One Marriott and two Courtyards. Once again, I was amazed at how comfortable their beds are.

I think I narrowed it down to the mattress topper they use. It seems to make all the difference. Before I shell out $170, anyone have one or something else they'd like to recommend?

BTW, memory foam is NOT an option because of the heat issue. I also have to stay away from down because I am allergic. Yes, in this one area I am high maintenance! Smile

Why did I know I'd get some sort of response from you? Of course, I figured it would be related to the hot sleeping...

PS- you are joking, right?

Just so I understand, are you saying that you can get the exact same kind that Marriott uses for $170? Or that that's how much you expect to spend for something similar?

Come on, woman, explain yourself!

DM,

You're not crazy. My wife and I were at a Courtyard this summer outside of Boston and really liked the one on the bed. I asked (it was a brand-new facility, open only a month) and was told they were:

I bet that's the one that you want. It was really nice. Smile

Oy vey. Marriott sells their toppers on their website (just like Sheraton, Hyatt and the other "upscale" chains sell their own lines of bedding.) It is $170 for a queen size topper.

If I had enough Marriott points, I use them to buy one and be done with it, but I don't so I am hoping to find a more economical but equally comfortable option.

Better? Smile

I never joke about someone's sleep. Their sleeping clothing, position, partner/s, yes.

Thanks Jamie!!! I like that price way better but that is a comforter- I am looking for something that would be between me and the mattress. Smile
