We're now on the 11th Doctor.
According to the last Colin Baker episode, "The Ultimate Foe," the 12th Doctor meets his end having been overcome by his evil side which becomes the Valeyard who goes back in time to take control of the Time Lords High Council and kill his earlier self to recover his subsequent regenerations.
In other words, if we have a 12th Doctor, he's gonna get evil.
Won't that be fun!
