Wow, and I thought I was cynical. So, space-time, what would you do? Foreclose on her house while she's in the hospital and then dump her out on the street?

come on, I wasn't cynical. I read the story after that, and what can I say, I feel sorry for the poor woman, but there are probably THOUSANDS just like her or even worse.
What prevents now let's day Jane Doe, 89 from shooting herself to get her mortgage taken care off by the feds? next in lane is Joe, 88, then Janet 87, etc. where do you draw the line?
it's sad what happened, it's even sad there are many more in the same situation.

I hope we do not see a lot of copy cat attempts. This may seems like a easy way out of desperation for many financially strapped individuals.
