Mighty Mouse acting up... - DP - 10-30-2008

Yes, the one that came with my iMac, not the other one! I can't scroll down anymore-using the trackball, I mean. Can go sideways, back up but not down. Suggestions? I haven't done anything different; no new apps, no updates, it just decided a couple of days ago to not work scrolling down.
iMac 2.0 Core Duo 2GB 10.5.4.

I just turn it over and tap it on my mouse pad a few times.

I've kicked my Mighty Mouse (both wired AND wireless) to the curb and have gone back to my trusty Kensington Expert Mouse (trackball).

Mighty is sitting in a box, stuck in reverse. Logitech runs my Mac now.
